Why don't I see the bottle/lid I purchased listed on your website?

Tal stands at the ever-changing forefront of hydration development. Our goal is to ensure we are setting the standard for our industry, in addition to making sure you have a trusted bottle while traveling, working out, camping, hiking, and for everyday use. Many of our items are, thus, limited edition, for both retailers and our website. Although some of our most desired bottles may be restocked, many are inaccessible to make room for new development. What sets Tal apart is our commitment to being innovators in hydration while maintaining the highest functionality. We stand behind our products 100% and if you are looking for a replacement lid or bottle not listed on our site, it may be in stock and in the process of being replenished. This may take one to three months. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Is there nickel in my bottle?

All of our metal bottles contain chromium and nickel and are made from stainless steel.

What liquids can go in my bottle?

Carbonated beverages should be avoided, as they can reduce sealing quality. Carbonated beverages can also generate pressure inside the bottle, making it dangerous upon removing the lid. Highly acidic beverages should be avoided.

Beer generally has a lower carbonation level, so this would be safe with the Growler Bottle. We do not suggest storing Beer for long periods, as the carbonation of the beverage will not stay.

Hot beverages should be avoided for any of our plastic bottles.

What are TAL bottles made from?

Our Metal TAL bottles are made from Food Grade 30 Stainless Steel, which is the same material that flatware, cutlery, and food/beverage manufacturing and processing equipment are made from. Our products are FDA Food safe, are also BPA, and lead-free.

Are TAL bottles BPA-free?

All TAL bottles are BPA-Free.

Lids

Are any of the TAL lids interchangeable?

Our Ranger series lids are interchangeable, Ranger Pro with the twist cap and the Ranger Straw lids are all interchangeable. The rest of our lids are specialized to their respective model.

How can order a new lid for my bottle?

Where can I find replacement lids besides online? I am international and I cannot find them in stores.

Right now, our replacement lids are only available through www.talhydration.com. We do not have any alternative locations where lids can be purchased. You may now purchase from Canada.

The straw on my lid stopped working! How can we fix this?

Remove the lid from your bottle and check that the straw is firmly attached to the lid. If it is loose (not tightly attached), tighten it. Then try again, sipping from the straw. If that does not resolve the problem, proceed to the next step below.

1. Remove the mouthpiece from your lid by pulling hard until it "pops" off. You will now see a hole with a small round gasket (O-ring) surrounding it. It is made of silicon rubber—and acts as a seal—which makes this area of the lid watertight.

If this small round gasket shifts in position or is dislodged, it can cause air to pass through the hole. Moreover, it can make suction difficult.

2. To fix this, simply remove the O-ring and re-insert it so it sits properly in its place, not twisted or bent.

3. Then reinstall the mouthpiece by pushing it down hard until it "pops" back into place.

4. Next, open the mouthpiece and look through the drinking hole. Check to confirm there is a clear passageway for water.

Now you are ready to try again!

Cleaning Instructions

How do I clean my bottle?

For stainless steel and plastic bottles, dish soap and warm water for everyday washing are suitable. For tough-to-remove stains or odors, fill your bottle ¾ of the way with warm water and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Use one of our state-of-the-art bottlebrushes to scrub the bottle thoroughly and rinse it. To further clean, scrub thoroughly 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda with warm water. In the absence of a bottlebrush, apply the lid and shake vigorously.

Is my bottle dishwasher safe? Is it microwave safe?

Stainless steel bottles without any coating are dishwasher safe. If the bottle has any colored paint or graphics applied, it is not dishwasher safe unless otherwise indicated on the packaging. All of our bottles are not suitable for microwave use. Plastic Tritan™ bottles are dishwasher safe. If you are unsure if your bottle is made from Tritan™, check the bottom of the bottle or contact us. Lids for both Stainless and Plastic Tritan™ bottles are top-rack dishwasher safe.

My bottle/lid smells moldy, I have tried cleaning it but it still smells. What do I do?

Remove the lid’s silicone seal and thoroughly clean both the lid and silicone with warm soapy water. If the smell remains, immerse the lid, seal it in warm soapy water, and soak it overnight. A new silicone seal may be required if the smell continues. We unfortunately do not sell individual seals. A new seal only comes with a replacement lid.

The packaging says that the Bamboo Pint is removable for cleaning. How do I do this?

The metal body of the Bamboo Pint should thread out of the wood counterclockwise. Due to certain climates, the wood can contract to make it difficult to remove.

My bottle has rust stains inside. What do I do?

Stainless Steel is not rust-proof, but it is rust-resistant. If you see rust it can be removed by using a mixture of baking soda or vinegar on the rust spot, letting it sit for 5-10 minutes, then scrubbing it with a soft sponge or bottlebrush. If you cannot remove the rust, we encourage you to submit a warranty claim for your bottle if it is within our one year warranty.

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

What is the shipping policy?

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.

Do you ship overseas?

No, we are currently unable to ship overseas. We will make an update once we are able to do so. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Certain items from my order did not come with the rest of my order.

There are certain instances in which your orders are split from separate warehouses which may cause for separate deliveries. We appreciate your patience and understanding with this instance.

It still has not shipped/I do not see tracking for it

Our lids are shipped directly from our headquarters in New York by our customer service team to ensure the correct lid is sent.
Please reach out to us if you have not received your lid within 2-3 weeks of ordering it.

Do you ship internationally or to Canada?

Unfortunately, we are currently not able to facilitate replacements for international customers with exception of Canada. We are excited to start shipping to our valued customers around the world as soon as possible.

Orders

How do I change the address for my order?

If you have entered the wrong address at the checkout page, please reach out to our customer support team and they will update your address if the order has not been shipped yet.

Unfortunately, we cannot change an address once an order has been shipped. You will need to place a new order or reach out to the carrier to have the item rerouted.

Can I cancel or change my order after it was placed?

We cannot add items to an already placed order, but we can remove items as long as the order has not been processed or shipped. If you would like to remove an item from your order, please contact us.

We may not be able to cancel an order once it has been placed. We process orders extremely quickly and it may be too late to cancel your order. Please reach out in a timely fashion if you would like your order canceled.

My order says delivered but I have not received it.

There are times that tracking shows delivered but it is not dropped off until the next day or so. If you still have not received the item in two business days please let us know and we will do our best to resolve and investigate your delay.

Refunds and Returns

I purchased a TAL bottle from an authorized reseller and I want to return it and get a refund

We are not able to return/refund items purchased through a retailer. For products purchased from an authorized retailer, their return policy applies — please contact them directly for more information.

I would like to return an item purchased from the TAL website.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of your original purchase. If you would like to return a bottle for a refund, please email a request with your original order number in the subject line to support@talhydration.com. We will send you instructions on how to return your item. Please note we do not cover return shipping costs. For products purchased from an authorized retailer, their return policy applies — please contact them directly for more information.

Warranty

Is my bottle covered under warranty?

Items eligible for warranty must include accompanying proof of purchase and have been purchased within one year of the claim date. This warranty does not cover accidental damage, damage caused by improper care, negligence, normal wear, and tear, or damage caused by overheating and does not apply to scratches, stains, discoloration, or other damage which does not impair the functionality of the product. This warranty is valid only for the first quality goods purchased from Walmart retail locations, Walmart.com and TalHydration.com. My lid is broken. How can I receive a new one?

If your bottle leaks from the purchase or experiences a defect, you may be entitled to a warranty replacement. Our warranty does not cover accidental damage to lids such as dropping, misuse, misplacing your lid, or general wear and tear. We only cover items purchased at authorized retailers, not including off-price locations. Please contact us here: support@talhydration.com.

My bottle does not keep insulation.

You can test your bottle’s insulation at home with boiling water. Pour boiling water directly into a Tal Hydration bottle, filled up to the neck. Take precautions when pouring the boiling water. Do not hold the bottle in your hand that you are pouring boiling water into. After pouring the boiling water, keep the bottle uncovered. After roughly minutes, touch the outside of the bottle (below the neck). If you feel hot areas on the outside of the bottle, the insulation has been damaged. In this case, please contact us here: support@talhydration.com.

My bottle has a rattling sound.

If you are hearing a rattle in your bottle, it is due to a small metal disc that sits between the double wall of your bottle and helps create the vacuum insulation. Sometimes the disc becomes dislodged, creating a small rattling sound. This will not affect the quality of insulation or integrity of the bottle. Please contact our customer support team to find out if you are eligible for a warranty replacement.
